Day10
GOOD AFTERNOON PARENTS and Happy Tuesday!
We had a really good day today. To go along on the behavior topic of last week, I came up with another strategy as well. I created a stoplight in which each student has a piece on it. If they do something that harms their safety or care here at camp they can be moved to yellow meaning it is a warning. This could also include not listening to instructions multiple times or not keeping hands to themselves.
I did tell them that they can redeem themselves and move back down on green if they can be better the next few opportunities they have or are given.
Along with that, I also told them that if someone makes it to red then they would have to have a consequence, which could potentially be sitting out on a fun activity and myself and the kids DO NOT want that!
Honestly, this must have done the trick because the whole class was so well behaved and engaged in almost every activity. I am so glad that I can try to develop disciplinary strategies with your kids that help the classroom run smoothly.
However, with today we did a lot. Some kids went to soccer camp and of course enjoyed it! They think it is so much fun! Before that though, we watched a magic show and the kids were so involved it was amazing to watch their shocked faces. We also had a coloring page of Moses separating the Red Sea!
Do not forget tomorrow is Superhero Day! Dress your kid up as their favorite hero!
Anyway, TOMORROW, it is superhero day. Try not to forget.
Well, here are your children's photos from today.
